RecovR Release Notes

Lot Management 1.42.0

December 13, 2023

Coming Soon!

🚀 What's New

  • 6-year Warranty: Dealers now have the option to sell a 6-year warranty rather than a 3-year warranty via PEN or the UI.  This was a direct ask from multiple dealerships and is now available.  This information is also visible in the Support Tool UI.
  • Map Icon Aggregations: Vehicle icons on maps will now group based on proximity. This will help make the map less cluttered while still showing the user relevant information.  Map icons will separate as the user zooms in.

  • Skip FOTA Attribute on Locations: There are several locations that should never receive a FOTA update (terminated locations, manufacturing, etc).  These required operators to “just know” which locations shouldn’t receive updates.  To help with this we have added an attribute on Locations (fotaOptions/fotaUpdate) which can be set as desired and then used to automatically filter out any locations that should never receive FOTA updates.

✅ Improvements

  • Allow users to void sales up to 21 days: Previously dealers were only able to void sales for 7 days after the sale.  This resulted in a large number of support requests to void sales past this timeframe.  Extending the window in which dealers can void sales should reduce requests made to RecovR Support.
  • Remove Zone Labels from Map view: Previously zone names were shown on any map view showing zones.  These often clutter the interface and become unreadable.  These have been removed to make the map cleaner.  Zone Name should still show up when the mouse is over a given zone.

🔑 R4K

  • Users will now see a warning on any Vehicle Only sales where tags are paired at the time of sale.  This mimics the warning already seen when a locator is paired on a Vehicle Only sale.

  • Dealerships can now create and void Key sales via PEN integration.
  • Users are now blocked from pairing keys to tags that are not reporting (heartbeat older than 10 minutes) or have a battery level below 50%.

🐛 Fixed

  • There were a small number of locators where the Invoice ID was populating as “undefined”.  This issue has been fixed.
  • Some locators would not properly update their paired status leading to mismatches between status and actual state.  This has been fixed to ensure the status is in sync and updated properly.

🚀 What's New

Prevent vehicle creation for vehicles sold in the past 7 days
  • Since the introduction of the VIN Collision workflow we have found that dealers often recreate vehicles within hours of selling them.  This breaks the connection the user who purchased the locator has rendering them unable to see or track their vehicle until manually corrected.
  • To prevent this if a user tries to create a vehicle that has been sold with RecovR in the last 7 days they are prevented from doing so and redirected instead to the Sale page to void the sale if desired.
  • This should make the choice more explicit while still allowing dealers to create vehicles when necessary.

🐛 Fixed

Miscellaneous
  • An issue that allowed users to create zones with insufficient data has been fixed.
  • Certain device attributes that were previously showing up incorrectly should now show properly

What's New? 🔥

  • Navigational Breadcrumbs: All users will now see navigational breadcrumbs on desktop and mobile. This change is based on the navigation UX survey responses we received. In addition to the breadcrumbs taking you farther up in the hierarchy, they also store your most recent search & filters for each page in this page during your session.

Android Release 1.15.0

January 24, 2023

What's New

  • Theft recovery mode notifications - When theft recovery is mode is activated, users will be notified via Push, Email, & SMS notifications. These notifications contain further instructions on how to get help and give them direct access to the theft recovery URL to share with law enforcement.
  • Notification configuration & robustness - While building out the theft recovery mode notifications, we have fleshed out notifications to be more easily configured and scaled to future notifications that we would like to implement. Users can disable email and SMS notifications from their app settings and disable push notifications in their phone settings.
  • “Update Required” pop-up - Previously, we have had no way to force users to update their app when they have been using out-of-date versions. We have introduced this functionality in the native app so that if we release any breaking changes in the future, we will be able to force them to update. Note: This is not a backward compatible feature, so we will not be able to force users to update who are using version released before Audi A3
